Our proximity to the renewable, off-shore, gas and nuclear energy sectors makes us perfectly positioned to support Project cargo.
Our Project cargo berth currently has a 35t/m² load capacity and benefits from excellent road links with close proximity to the M6 and the new Heysham link road. Heavy and large loads can also be shipped by rail as we have a branch line connected to the North West costal line with one service a day that has lots of capacity available.
Past Project cargo projects include heavy lift of 230t transformers and wind turbines with blades over 35m long.

Great Yarmouth - Welcome to Great Yarmouth
The Port of Great Yarmouth is a deep water facility with a purpose-built Outer Harbour, ideal for offshore, oil and gas, and project cargo. It features a heavy lift pad, 10m draught, excellent road access via the new Herring Bridge, and extensive laydown space for commissioning or decommissioning components.
