Thirteen Peel Ports Employees Pass Apprenticeship Training

08 February 2022

We are proud to announce that Thirteen Peel Ports employees have passed apprenticeship training with distinction despite a challenging and unprecedented year caused by COVID.

The training was funded by Peel Ports via the Apprenticeship Levy and delivered in partnership with West Lancashire College. Peel Ports also retains strong links with a range of education providers in the Liverpool city region.

The apprentice training began in 2019, and employees have attained either a Team Leader / Supervisor Level 3 apprenticeship qualification or an Operations Manager Level 5 apprenticeship qualification. The programme included group workshops and lone working to gain skills, knowledge and behaviours in leadership and management. Once completing several modules, the employees completed an end point assessment.

In celebration of passing the apprenticeship training, employees were invited to a special lunch at the Maritime Centre hosted by Phil Hall, Mersey Port Director and Charlotte Havers, Senior HR Advisor.

Charlotte Havers said:

Everyone involved in the apprenticeship training should be extremely proud of themselves, the last two years haven’t been easy, but they have worked hard and proven that they can do it. Congratulations on behalf of Peel Ports.
