What is your job title?
Sales Director (Mersey)
How long have you worked for Peel Ports?
Just started, in my first week…
Tell us about your career to date
Having started out in agriculture within the family business, this was where I first gained an interest in the production and transportation of raw products. Having experienced how many hours of effort and care goes into producing these products, I was interested to learn more about what transpires with these goods once we had sent them on their merry way.
This took me into the next chapter of my career where I have worked over the past 10+ years in the marine sector including the marine offshore oil & gas sector, container shipping and port centric warehousing.
What does your role entail and how does this add value to the business?
The purpose of the role is to support the Mersey sales team in continuing to deliver the best possible solutions to our existing and new customers within Liverpool port, Heysham port and the Manchester ship canal, whilst implementing effective sales initiatives to drive further growth within the business.
What do you enjoy most about your role? How does this benefit your customers etc
Contributing to our customers’ success and competitiveness by providing effective solutions can make a major difference. Having this ability to make a positive impact on our customers’ business and seeing the end result is the best part of the job.
Being part of a forward thinking business like Peel Ports Group, that has the tangible assets, impressive infrastructure and extensive expertise to provide transformative solutions to customers, offers plenty of opportunity to new and existing clients.
What should customers come to you for?
Customers may want to discuss collaboration on a new project where we can offer tailor made solutions, reach out to discuss expanding current activities within the ports, or to understand more about our port centric services. I am looking forward to speaking to the excellent portfolio of customers within the business over the coming weeks and months.
