From Resourcing Assistant to HR Leader: Gabriella’s Journey at Peel Ports

We’re looking for hands-on, proactive, and passionate HR professionals to join our HR Operations Team in roles at both HR Business Partner and HR Advisor levels. Opportunities are available across Liverpool, London Medway, and Glasgow.

“Since joining Peel Ports in 2015 on a 6-month FTC as a Resourcing Assistant, I’ve grown through a variety of roles, now leading the HR team within the Container division and operating as a member of the local senior management team. Every day is different—from shaping employee relations strategy and driving ED&I initiatives, to being part of the Container division leadership team leading the changes that will shape our future.

In addition to this, I’ve had the chance to represent Peel Ports on BBC North West Tonight, win at the Big Logistics Diversity Challenge, and host podcasts that spotlight our transformation. I’m especially proud of leading our Gender Action Committee, championing female talent in the port industry and building a strong internal network.

Since stepping into the HR Business Partner role in January 2024, I’ve gained greater strategic influence and autonomy helping shape the future of our people agenda both locally and across the Group.
