We support a wide range of charities and local projects every year, all chosen by our local teams. We want to make a difference where it matters most and ensure we can support worthwhile causes which have a positive impact. This year we are already working to support and partner with a range of programmes and charities which will benefit micro-businesses, young kids and environmental projects.
Local Initiatives
Peel Ports supports Sefton and Liverpool charities
Sefton Sea Cadets used a donation from Peel Ports to purchase a new minibus, enabling young people to access training and extra-curricular activities.
Peel Ports Christmas fundraising raises over £6000
Peel Ports raises over £6000 through Christmas fundraising activities, and the donations will be made to charities chosen by employees.
Bringing our Community Together
We have recently given our backing to a nominated Liverpool charity which helps some of the city’s most vulnerable.

Skills, learning & development
As the maritime industry continues to thrive, ports and the wider sector create growth through investment, bringing employment to the community and as most jobs are physically located on or near the port estate, these provide long-term, stable roles for local people. The extensive variety of jobs provides many opportunities for apprenticeships, on-the-job academic learning, and a varied career for life.

We care about the environment and we are working to minimise the impact of our operations; from committing to becoming carbon neutral by 2040, to developing innovation strategies designed to find sustainable solutions, through to our use of HVO fuels and the enabling the development of renewable energy across all sites, all our past and future investments take into account our wider sustainable agenda.
