Our engineering apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity to gain an academic qualification whilst doing a real job and getting paid.
As an apprentice, you will work in a thriving, fast paced environment on a huge variety of equipment. Peel Ports is at the forefront of our industry, an industry that is constantly evolving. When Liverpool2, our deep water container terminal we have one of the most technologically advanced ports in Europe - a semi-automated container terminal. This is just one of the game changing engineering projects we are delivering and you could be part of it.
Once you've decided that an apprenticeship is for you, you'll need to apply via the Careers site. You will receive an email to acknowledge that we have received your application.
If your application is shortlisted, you'll be contacted by the Talent Team to have an initial discussion. This will allow us to clarify some basic information and if everything is ok, to invite you to attend one of our assessment centres.
As part of the overall assessment you will be asked to complete an online psychometric test and a link will be sent to you on email prior to the assessment centre. You will need to complete the tests for your application to be considered.
Full details will be sent to you confirming the full details of when and where the assessment centre will take place. The half-day session will consist of interviews, a practical test and a group exercise. Several members of the Peel Ports Engineering and HR teams will be involved in the sessions and there will be the opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the apprenticeships or about working for Peel Ports in general.
Following the assessment centre you will be contacted within one week with feedback. If you're successful, you will be offered one of our apprenticeships and become part of the Peel Ports team.
