Haulier Guide - THA

To maximise space at the Terminal2 transfer zones and to keep traffic moving through the port efficiently, a holding area has been developed so that we can observe and manage space availability.

The new Terminal Holding Area will allow wagons to temporarily park and wait until their cargo is ready to collect, reducing potential congestion or blockages.

Terminal Holding Area (THA) – a step by step guide

  1. Book in at the autogate. If the selected transfer zone at Terminal2 is already occupied, you will be directed to the THA by a member of staff.

  2. Proceed to the THA and park in any available bay. A large screen will display your vehicle registration number when a space becomes available.

  3. When the screen shows your registration number, drive to the kiosk at the THA exit and swipe the Driver’s Port Card

  4. The kiosk will produce a ticket confirming your onward location
